Joe Satriani’s phenomenal guitar work has made him one of the most celebrated and influential players on the scene today. Earlier in his career Joe also was renowned as an excellent guitar teacher – his former students include Steve Vai, Kirk Hammet, and Charlie Hunter.
Joe’s new album, Professor Satchafunkilus and The Musterion of Rock, is scheduled for release on April 1. While his CD may have a whimsical title, the word is that Joe and company are all business on this latest session. With his bandmates, drummer Jeff Campitelli and bassist Matt Bissonette plus some very special guest stars, Joe has produced a sleek set of 10 tunes that distills elements of rock, Latin, and R&B, into one of his strongest discs yet.
